If it was a genuine kehin the pwk and numbers would be stamped on carb body above float bowl surface. Some of those knock off carburetors can be tuned to run decent, but not very often. They are cheap but seldom give perfect performance of the genuine kehin. Your 03 was produced with a 38mm kehin pwk. The early 2000s used the long body carb.
