At least it's a faster way to level up to 5 with merchant emissary. It was a miserable grind before. I say do this to get to 5, then start doing cargo runs to max your rep if you're still trying to get to 75 with them. I mean, I made a little over 10k of just merchant money in one quick quest with no flag.

Relatively easier to do and the lost shipment voyages give you like a dozen or so merchant crates at 500 to 1k each plus the shipping manifest that sells for 2-4k. Also, the voyages usually end pretty close to an outpost.
