2006 Kawasaki stx 12f. Ski has a total of 58 hours on it, one day it started smoking just out of nowhere not steam, smoke. So changed plugs checked oil level made sure everything was good and the ski drove fine. Then all the sudden started smoking again. Thought maybe had over filled it with oil so drained it. The higher the octane the cooler the engine will run. Higher octane will lower the chances of pre ignition also known as detenation. Why risk it for $2.00-$3.00 more per tank.
